Rescue Training & Education
Idaho River Rescue is a business operated by white water river professionals, dedicated to the education, training and instruction in river rescue. We work with Fire Departments Swiftwater Rescue teams and SAR teams as well as river professional's, private boaters, Fish & Game personnel or anyone who works or plays on or around water.
40% of all drowning victims are would be rescuers. That means, 4 out of 10 deaths due to drowning are the people attempting the rescue. This rate is mostly due to lack of proper training and a lack of understanding of the dangers involved in flat water or swiftwater rescue. Our goal, is to lower this percentage by providing proper instruction, training and an increased understanding of the hazards in Swift-Water Rescue. Whether it's a creek, stream, pond, lake or technical white-water, the following basics apply.
