Have you ever wondered what it would be like to captain a raft and crew down a white water river? Have you ever wondered why the river reacts the way it does, or how to rig a boat, plan a trip, what to wear or how to deal with a river rescue? If so, then this is your opportunity to find out.
Whether you want to be a weekend warrior, full time guide or just want to learn it for yourself so you can enjoy the many river miles Idaho has to offer, this course is for you.
This is a 10 day, intensive course that is aimed at preparing you to be a white water raft guide. Your first day, you take command of the guide stick and learn to maneuver your raft and crew down the river. We believe the only way to learn effectively is by doing.

We will be holding an informative meeting on April 16 & 17 at 6pm.
Meeting will be held in the Banner Bank Building on the corner of 10th and Bannock, Boise Idaho in the conference room on the 2nd floor
We are offering 2 sets of training dates.
5 weekend training days: Sat. & Sun. Start date: May 1 to May 30, 2010
10 day, weekday training, Mon. thru Fri. Start date: May 17 to May 28, 2010
COST: $560 per student
Life Jacket, wet suit, booties and helmet will be supplied for the training.
Employment with IWU is not guaranteed, but if you have what it takes, we would like you on the team.
